Established in 2011, Stackhouse Design is an owner managed architectural practice founded by Peter Stackhouse.

Working for many years in major architectural practices enabled Peter to gain a wealth of experience in projects across most building sectors. Ranging from multi-million pound commercial and retail developments for national blue-chip clients to a range of residential projects including social housing, barn conversions, listed building projects, student accommodation and new build dwellings.

Of late, the practice has become renowned for expertise in the conversion and restoration of listed buildings, liaising with English Heritage, Historic England and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.

The practice works mainly in the south-west but will take on projects anywhere having recently worked with clients in Cumbria and Kent.

Who we are

Peter Stackhouse: Managing Partner

Peter originally studied in Birmingham, and since qualifying has worked in major national practices as well as smaller more locally based companies. This background has given Peter the opportunity to develop a design focussed but pragmatic approach to every project that he undertakes.

Janet Stackhouse – Director

Janet has a background in management and concentrates on the operational matters of the practice.
